Devin's first email elicited no response from Kristin... his second email got a sarcastic response from Kristin (apparently she'd met one too many creepy guys online and was playing hard to get). But after a third email, Kristin decided to give Devin a chance and was surprised at what a great guy she had almost lost! After chatting online and over the phone for a few weeks, Devin and Kristin met for their first date on July 31, 2004 at Ivy by the Shore in Santa Monica. It was love at first sight... and both were convinced that they had found "the one" after just one date.

After dating for 3 months, Devin proposed to Kristin during a trip to La Quinta Spa Resort in Palm Springs. While they were out at a special dinner, Devin arranged to have the concierge fill their suite with 5 dozen long-stemmed red roses and candles. When they arrived back at their suite, Devin got down on one knee - and, after having an entire speech prepared, could only manage to say "will you marry me?"  Of course, Kristin said yes.

Nine months later, Devin and Kristin were married on July 30, 2005 in the Mulholland Hills of Los Angeles. They currently live in a beautiful suburb called Westlake Village, located between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara.

During the 90's, Devin's bands Cats:Choir and The Vents released records and toured around the globe. Devin has even toured and recorded with such legends as John Entwistle of The Who and Lee Rocker of The Stray Cats.

In 2006, Devin was honored at the 21st Annual ASCAP Film & Television Music Awards, receiving an award for “Most Performed Television Underscore”. Devin is not only writing for TV and film, but also producing tracks for himself and other artists.

After graduating with her Bachelors degree, Kristin spent a couple of years working at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills. During this time she acted as the site lead on an Osteoarthritis Clinical Trial, testing the effects of the supplements Glucosamine and Chondroitin.

About mid-way through her Master's education, Kristin decided it was time for a change, and wanted to move on to a company with more opportunites for career growth and development. She started working at Amgen, one of the world's top Biotechnology companies, and has remained there ever since. Kristin works as an Operational Program Manager within the Comparative Biology & Safety Sciences group, and really enjoys it... most of the time. :)

Dathan Antone Adao was born at 7:54am on Friday, September 14, 2007. At birth, he weighed in at 5lb 11oz, and was 19 inches long. Dathan was born healthy and happy! His middle name is after his late paternal grandfather, Antone Adams.

Livienne Austyn Adao was born at 7:55am on Friday, September 14, 2007. At birth, she weighed in at 6lb 2oz, and was 19.5 inches long. Livienne was born healthy and happy! Her middle name is after her maternal great grandfather, Frederick Austin Gilley.

These days, Livienne's favorite activities still include eating... and also smiling! She loves to run fast and jump off high structures, scaring us half to death. She is very proud of riding the "bikes with pedals" (tricyles). Despite her screams that would indicate otherwise, we know that she secretly likes getting teased by her brother - she's a little attention-lover! She is often affectionately referred to as "Liv" or "Ennie", the latter of which Dathan nicknamed her. Livienne loves to test her limits & exert her independence - so we know that she is going to grow up to be a very strong, sharp little lady!
