Kristin's very first turkey! It was coated with butter, sage, thyme and marjoram before cooking. The turkey was also injected with a flavor mixture that Kristin invented (butter, madeira wine, orange juice, brown sugar, salt and crushed herbs).             Another shot of the beautiful turkey, which was basted with a combination of butter, madeira and sherry wines (we ran out of madeira!), and turkey stock. Kristin had also made the Turkey stock from scratch, a few days earlier.
 
 
           
Lunch snacks to munch on while Kristin was cooking - carmelized onion & white cheddar cheese dip (with apple wedges and pumpernickel bread), and spiced roasted nuts. The nuts and dip were also made from scratch.             Our dinner plates, with all the fixins. The homemade side dishes included garlic mashed potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts with bacon & shallots, chestnut & sausage stuffing, and a madeira & sherry gravy.
