| Kristin's very first turkey! It was coated with butter, sage, thyme and marjoram before cooking. The turkey was also injected with a flavor mixture that Kristin invented (butter, madeira wine, orange juice, brown sugar, salt and crushed herbs). |

Another shot of the beautiful turkey, which was basted with a combination of butter, madeira and sherry wines (we ran out of madeira!), and turkey stock. Kristin had also made the Turkey stock from scratch, a few days earlier. |

| Lunch snacks to munch on while Kristin was cooking - carmelized onion & white cheddar cheese dip (with apple wedges and pumpernickel bread), and spiced roasted nuts. The nuts and dip were also made from scratch. |

Our dinner plates, with all the fixins. The homemade side dishes included garlic mashed potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts with bacon & shallots, chestnut & sausage stuffing, and a madeira & sherry gravy. |
